Just wanted to leave some positive reviews for GT Japanese Auto. I’ve been a loyal customer of GT since I moved from NY to NJ back in 1996. Bill has worked on my 1992 Nissan Stanza, 2001 Toyota Avalon, 2001 & 2006 Honda Odyssey. I’ve always trusted Bill and his ASA certified mechanics with my vehicles. Bill is very knowledgeable with Japanese automobiles – old and new. A few things that I love about Bill and GT Japanese are, 1) He is very honest when it comes to replacing a part. He will tell you upfront if the part REALLY needs to be replaced or if the part can go on for a few more ticks on the odo. Never do you feel that he wants to replace a part just to pad his bottom line. 2) His work is very thorough. 3) If you want to save some money, he will allow you to bring your parts for them to install. 4) He uses OEM parts. 5) His service cost is competitive and last, I know any service done to my car will be done right. They charged me 1/2 half of what the Lexus dealer was going to charge me for taking about the console and replacing a burnt out bulb. Lexus- $186. GT- $97.I also was going to get new rear tires since Lexus dealership said I needed them and an alignment. GT said I don't need the tires. I'm not even down to the wear marks. They could have just sold me the tires. I wouldn't have known. Shows they have some integrity.

Bill took personal responsibility for the repairs of my '07 Hyundai Vera Cruz. The brake system and front struts were 100% shot. GT Japanese turned the auto around in record time.Bill and his team effected repairs that made an auto with 145,000 miles on it feel like it had just left the showroom!The job was done perfectly and the car continues to feel great.Bravo!

I've been bringing my vehicles to GT Automotive for over fifteen years.They have always been very honest and trust worthy. I currently own several Japanese cars and they are regularly repaired and serviced there. I've also had custom parts that I supplied installed by there technicians with no issues. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The turn around time is fast and efficient. The work is done correctly the first time, every time. No work is begun until a full estimate of the costs are agreed to. Simply put there service has been excellent and I will continue to bring my vehicles there for years to come.

I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a honest/trust worthy auto service. I had taken my Toyota Camry 2011 to install aftermarket cold air intake, they did a pretty good job. this was the first time I tried GT. I had gone to many auto repairing shops before and I can tell you this is the BEST. Seen good professionalism in their work.

I most highly recommend Bill Gill and his team at GT Automotive. They are among the most honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, reliable, and conscientious mechanics I have ever met. I see some bad reviews, and can only imagine their writers aren't realistic or are in a rush, so they aren't happy with what they hear. Or they are unwilling to accept that for tricky problems, mechanics cannot predict what they'll face when they open up the engine or other parts. But I find GT conservative and thoughtful in addressing problems, communicating well in describing the situation and my options.

I'm a second generation of customer of GT, making me a customer for 32 years. I haven't always lived in New Jersey but all but one of my cars that I have ever owned has been serviced by GT. The knowledge, integrity, and enthusiasm of GT for doing the job right is something I have not experienced with any other mechanic in any place I've ever lived. Two of my cars have gone over 200,000 miles with GT's service (one of them over 300,000), GT has completely refurbished engines, resuscitated "dead" cars with new engines - there is nothing they aren't capable of. If repairs don't stick, they've fixed them for me free of charge and with no aggravation. Highest recommendation for GT for all things automotive!
